Natasha Talwar
Natasha Talwar is a medical student with a background in Neurosciences. With an inquisitive nature, Natasha has always been keen to learn and understand science and how things work. This has varied from her Master’s thesis looking at brain activity and its correlation to cognitive functioning during everyday tasks to her current endeavours in medical school learning how disease presents and impacts people’s lives. Growing up in an Indian family, Natasha has an appreciation for holistic treatment and the power of the mind, body and soul in managing disease. As a future physician, Natasha hopes to incorporate these thoughts into her practice and serve her community as equally and effectively as she can.Natasha has had the unique opportunity to live across three continents and gain exposure to a wide diversity of cultures, backgrounds and beliefs. Through these experiences, Natasha has learned to appreciate the differences between people and gained knowledge from alternate perspectives that helped to enhance her own understanding. Natasha welcomes the chance to continuously expand her horizons to improve upon herself, her understanding of the world and her ability to serve her future patients to the best of her ability. Natasha holds a Master’s in Science from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor’s in Science from Queen’s University. She is currently in her third year of Medicine at University College Cork in Ireland.
