Embracing Diversity

Uniting for a Stronger, More Inclusive Future

At Unity in Diversity Foundation Inc. (UiDF), we believe that diversity is not a challenge to be overcome, but a strength to be celebrated. As a registered Canadian charitable organization, we are dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote holistic inclusion across all facets of society.

In today’s world, we often find ourselves divided—by faith, race, gender, identity, nationality, language, and culture. These divisions create conflict, fostering an “us versus them” mentality that undermines our collective potential. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

What We Do

UiDF provides financial support to Canadian charities that are actively working to foster inclusion, build intercultural understanding, and encourage the acceptance of diversity as a source of strength. We support initiatives that break down barriers, bridge differences, and promote the values of empathy, compassion, and trust.

Even in seemingly homogenous communities, there’s often a sense of division—“I” versus “you,” “I” against “you”—instead of a united “we” or “us.” At UiDF, we are committed to changing that narrative. By supporting inclusive efforts, we hope to build a future where people from all walks of life can come together as one.

Our Vision for the Future

We envision a world where increased understanding and mutual respect lead to stronger communities and a better future for all. At UiDF, we believe that through collective action, we can create lasting change and foster an environment where diversity truly becomes a cornerstone of unity.

Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi, or Zen. Not any religion or cultural system. I am not from the east or the west, not out of the ocean or up from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all. I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any origin story. My place is the placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul. I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being.
